Hi,

When I try to open the License Management Console in Pres Serv 4.0 I get the following message:

You did not authenticate correctly. Please try again or contact your system administrator

I know that this message is due to not logging in with the user who installed licensing originally, but I can't find that user so I'm stuck.

My question is; I've got the license file so can I just reinstall licensing on that server, use the orginal license file and everything will work?

Thanks, Ben

I can't see any reason why resinstalling the licensing system won't work.

Best of luck

Ben,

Next time you have this issue (sorry for the late reply :) ) you can do the following
Browse to Program files\citrix\licensing\lmc\tomcat\conf, here you can edit the tomcat-users.xml

Example added string:

this is from the citrix faq > http://www.datacrash.net/faqs/windows/faq-citrix-related.html

Also to force authentication what you could do is type in the FQDN, or IP address of your licensing server and this will force you to authenticate. from there you can log in and use the GUI to modify who can log into your licensing server.

Cheers
